Sept 16 Counter-Strategy

I was flabbergasted when I found out that YB Teresa Kok was arrested close to midnight just now. Awestruck I then comprehended the situation. Ops Lalang II is underway. I understand now, there is nothing left to lose. Tuesday, 16 Sept 2008 is fast approaching and Pak Lah seems to be losing support and change of the Federal Government seems, at least to BN and Pak Lah, a frightening reality.

Having 15 MPs arrested under ISA would spell doom for Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim's ambitions for taking over. With these people incarcerated, Pakatan Rakyat, even after the crossovers, cannot vote a simple majority even for the dissolution of Parliament, including to call for fresh elections.

Nice tactic BN! congratulations to the level 4 boys! but remember this, your act of desperation will lead you further from being in power in the coming elections. It has a very price though, this desperate 'last resort' of yours have spelt your doom. Notwithstanding the above, we the rakyat will wait for that single opportunity to throw you out. We do not mind waiting for another 3 or 4 years for fresh new elections as we have already made up our minds. This time around, time will not render us absent-minded.

So brother Ezam and Dr. Chandra, how have you been doing? revelling in the convenience of silence? surely you will voice out against these detentions at this juncture to negate already massive perceptions of your bias to BN? I personally want to see how Chandra explain this one! and Ezam, takkan nak sokong tang BN lawan rasuah tiba-tiba pasai ISA hang nak dok diam kot? Bagi laa statement sikit.. awat? gigi taring tercabut ka? dah lupa masa kena ISA dulu?

Remember this also! Pakatan Rakyat is NEVER short of new high-powered calibre leaders. Do what you may, but rest assured that the fight is far from over! we will not sit down and allow ourselves to be stomped to the ground, we will never surrender and WE WILL ULTIMATELY PREVAIL!

A Tale of Two Arrests

We are witnessing here, ladies and gentlemen, the final chapter of a 50-year old tale. Where the epic adventures of a political party who claimed to have solely fought for independence now grinds to a screeching halt.

A cornered cat, they say, is as dangerous as a person who is willing to blow-up a Mongolian model.

Here I was expecting UMNO and BN to listen to the rakyat swelling up with discontentment beneath them, and here I was also expecting to see a Government alarmed enough and responsive to see and address the whiplash effect to their pathetic administration.

The 15 sen discount on the market petrol price was a sign, I thought, of better things to come; but no - it was just not meant to be! UMNO will always be UMNO and BN will always be BN!

Here we have a Datuk Ahmad Ismail being 'disciplined' with a three-year suspension from holding posts in UMNO for creating national panic and sowing seeds of racial hatred throughout the nation, and on the other hand we have blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) and a certain Miss Tan Hoon Cheng from Sin Chew Jit Poh being detained under ISA for reporting on the misdeeds of Ahmad Ismail.

The culprit seems to be rapped on the wrist whilst the witnesses are being shot point blank!

I congratulate UMNO and BN for hitting the final nail on its coffin. This has always been the case, this time and with the timing of the defectors, the BN have shot themselves in the head. "Jika kita tidak tukar hari ini, hari besok, jika bukan minggu ini, minggu depan, jika bukan bulan ini, bulan depan, TUKAR TETAP TUKAR!" (modified from Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim's speech)

With this, the Chinese fraternity have cemented their allegiance to Pakatan Rakyat whilst the intelligensia (who reads from the Internet) will follow in droves, infecting everyone in their path and spreading the word that finally BN is a small speck in the glorious future history of Malaysia.

Kebebasan BPR: Anwar Perangkap Pak Lah

Bukan mudah untuk kita kalahkan lawan. 'Seni Pertarungan' itu sendiri telah diperdebat dan diperhalusi sehingga dibukukan. Kita masih lagi ingat 'The Art of War' oleh Sun Tzu; dan Rasulullah SAW sendiri pernah mengatakan 'Peperangan itu satu penipuan'. begitulah pentingnya strategi dalam perlawanan.

Namun apa yang telah dilakukan Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim begitu hebat. DSAI tahu UMNO dan BN dalam keadaan yang lemah, DSAI tahu bahawa dalam keadaan UMNO kini yang lemah dan parah, Pak Lah akan menerima sesiapa sahaja agar isu dapat dialihkan. Justeru DSAI menyuntik agennya untuk memastikan bahawa, sekiranya Pakaan Rakyat gagal membentuk kerajaan persekutuan, beliau masih lagi boleh menjayakan cita-citanya untuk memperkasakan BPR dan seterusnya mengheret bapak-bapak rasuah UMNO dan BN ke penjara.

Kini kita dapat lihat Ezam masih lagi mewar-warkan ungkapan-ungkapan 'syirik' bagi UMNO. 'Reform', 'Agenda Perubahan' termasuk ungkapan dahsyat 'Saya tiada kesetiaan pada Parti atau Individu' apakah UMNO sebegini dhaif sehingga terpaksa menerima ahli sebegini? yang terus terang menentang dasar UMNO dan BN?

Saya pernah dahulu bersama-sama isterinya Bahirah Tajul Aris dan isteri-isteri tahanan yang lain memberikan ceramah untuk membebaskan suaminya daripada ditahan dibawah ISA sambil memungut derma untuk disalurkan kepada keluarga-keluarga mangsa ISA. Malah tangan saya ini juga yang mengutip RM1 dan kepingan 50 sen atas nama membela keluarga Ezam. Bahirah menceritakan betapa peritnya kehidupan sebagai seorang isteri yang suaminya ditahan dibawah akta tersebut. Pemuda KeADILan pula, dalam menghayati Sumpah Keramat, berdiri teguh dibelakang ketua mereka dan bersumpah menyebarluaskan sebanyak mungkin - betapa zalimnya akta ini dan betapa seksanya keluarga tahanan.

Apakah Perdana Menteri merasakan azab yang dilalui Ezam bersama Ghani Haron itu boleh dilupakan mereka begitu sahaja? Persoalannya, mengapa Ezam masih tidak menyatakan bangkangan beliau terhadap ISA. Apakah Ezam, dengan melihat 'kesungguhan UMNO untuk membanteras rasuah' dengan mudah boleh melupakan penderitaan ISA? atau adakah Ezam terlalu yakin dengan adegan pembanterasan rasuah beliau boleh melupakan kesengsaraan para tahanan yang masih lagi meringkuk di Kamunting?

Soalan itu saya serahkan kepada UMNO untuk dijawab kerana UMNO sudah komited untuk mengekalkan ISA.
