Shadow Cabinet: The Time is NOW!!

For all our hype we have yet to answer the main question from the Rakyat. "Are we able to lead the Federal Government?"

Many a time has the proposal been swept under the carpet, and many a time opportunities upon opportunities to show we can actually govern; goes unnecessarily down the drain.

Here we have 4 Pakatan States and we are struggling to maintain administration. We even had to deal with disciplinary issues which led directly to the fall of the Perak State Government.

With the appointment of the new cabinet by the haunted Najib Razak, we should take this opportunity to showcase our struggle for the rakyat by implementing the Shadow Cabinet NOW! while everyone is still fresh. Any later we will be seen as merely being interested in politickings and not to ensure the welfare of the public is safeguarded.

Do you remember the Auditor General of Malaysia? the one who spilled the beans on Azalina's ministry so badly that she now lives under an umbrella of corruption and shame? We should emulate and apply the learned Auditor General's sacrifices by posting our very own 'Auditor General' in each Ministry appointed by the Federal Government.

This will not only make the Ministers ever-wary and on the tip of their toes; but it does also show that we are effectively scrutinising the deals and decisions of the ministries themselves with the eventual beneficiary being the Rakyat. Indirectly we are also forcing BN to govern with more responsibility and accountability.

If the Ministers do not co-operate, then we have 81 MPs to scream at their ear-lobes.

We have to show that Pakatan is also very concerned about the administration of the country in the Federal level. It also avails us to first hand training on how to become a minister when we win in the next Malaysian General Elections.

Please take note Pakatan! Vive la Resistance! Patik Sembah Derhaka!

heheheh.. correction! the blues were imposed higher rent unjustly and not according to contract; and the landlord wished to use Everton but was denied.

FYI the term 'and if you know your history' was not trying to quip the redshites but was just a verse from EFC's official song. No ill feelings intended!

In any event this dude wishes his merseyside brothers due sympathy for the 96 killed in the Hillsborough disaster.

May God have mercy on their souls and the Merseyside Police - who was found guilty of negligence based on the Taylor Report.

It still amazes me on how unbelievably ignorant our friend from Langkawi is on the concept of good governance and democracy.

I am pretty sure that you are the type that agree with the '0 Opposition' strategy used by Mickey Toyo during the 2004 GE.

Mr Langkawi, if you are so infatuated with UMNO you will understand the key drives that will make UMNO a better government; an idea long dropped as it thinks that it can govern Malaysia without the need of Chinese and Indian votes (per Ali Rustam).

A Shadow Cabinet will lend its ears to assisting the Cabinet to achieve its aims; especially the current scenario where KPI's are used as a benchmark for achievement.

Many democratic governments gladly accept the creation of a shadow cabinet.

Kalau kita tak boleh terima teguran, atau tak faham teguran, atau buat-buat tak faham teguran, nanti bersiap-sedialah pada PEMILU yang akan datang.

PS: send my regards to Ahmad Said, I hope Rosol Wahid will not 'sembah derhaka!' and make you preach double standards yet again!!

As usual I accept your concerns. The need for a Shadow Cabinet is urgent. let's hope the Federal Government acts responsibly and maybe appoint some Ministers from the Federal Opposition if they are serious enough to tackle the welfare of the Rakyat.

Yup. Hopefully the federal government & the state government can work with each other & put the political difference aside.

p/s: still waiting :)
