Perak Fiasco: Najib's Desperation to make Rosmah realised as the 'First Lady'

I still don't get it, what is such a big fuss about Perak? Anwar has made a pre-emptive attack to neutralise the downfall of the Pakatan Rakyat government in Perak by accepting Nasaruddin's application to join the state government. Shouldn't this be enough to frustrate Najib into submission? It would not seem so.

What I think is this, Najib is a desperate man. He is the premier aspirant and should Pak Lah honour his word to pass the baton to him, then it would seem all is well. But the current scenario does not bode well for him. His record of consecutive beatings in the Malaysian political arena is worse than the beating the Malaysian National Football Team received in the recent Asia Cup.

After Nasaruddin's defection, it dawned on this Deputy Prime Minister that the time is right for him to cut his loss, by following up on the two Perak State Assemblymen that he had once tried to use to bring down the Perak State Government.

This is the last Najib can do before the UMNO elections as a 'gift' in him replacing Pak Lah. He wants to show some form of achievement when he assumes the throne, with the beatings he received and the time almost up, he felt that two defections - meaningless as the State still belongs to Pakatan - is better than nothing.

For me Najib is receiving severe beatings and reprimands himself from his wife - who has already pampered and regarded herself as the Nation's First Lady. She has already some plans laid out to challenge or even out-do the batik obsession by the late Datin Seri Endon Mahmud.

For me, Najib should be more worried of him not replacing Pak Lah than thinking of delivering 'presents' that have no significant meaning. But of course, since he can afford it - why don't he use it?
